Spring is in the forecast! See above image. Here's the plan:

We'll put out 750 taps, starting on Thursday 02/25, with first subsequent Sap Flows on Friday
First Sap Collection is planned for Saturday 02/27
Additional tapping days tentatively scheduled for Saturday (if time allows before/after collection) and Monday 03/01
Evaporator Test (and possibly Evaporation) starting on Saturday 02/27
First Evaporation Sunday 02/28 (if it didn't start on Saturday 02/27)
It's a long way out, but right now it looks like Thursday 03/04 would be a collection day

If you're one of our regular workers you can expect a call to confirm later today.

There is and will be a lot of snow on the ground, so make sure you are properly dressed. When collecting the sap we will probably use the sleds to make transport back to the 2-track easier.
