ZOOM WORSHIP LIVE AT 10:00AM
Join us for live worship at 10:00 am on Sunday, February 28 on Zoom. We will walk through an abridged version of the "Worship from Home" service. Please note that most of the content on the Sunday Zoom is the same as what's included in the Worship from Home service, but not every element on the PDF will be included in our Zoom worship. If you wish to join us on Zoom, please log in at 9:50am so that we have time to greet one another and take our virtual seats. We will stay on after the service is complete to share a time of fellowship. During the Lenten season, we will use the fellowship time to create or share the crafts provided in the Lent at Home resource box designated for the week. The Sunday craft and explanation will be share in the Friday E-news.The Worship from Home service and Zoom details are sent each week on Saturdays.

You are invited to follow Pastor Mary Sue, Pastor Iona, and Pastor Petra throughout the Lenten season as they offer daily devotionals from the UCC's 2021 Lent Devotional, Promises, Promises. You are invited to follow these daily moments of reflection, mediation, and prayer on POVUCC's Facebook and Instagram accounts. Click here for access to POVUCC's Facebook page or here for access to the POVUCC Instagram account.
CAMP STEVENS
The pandemic forced us to cancel our original church retreat at Camp Stevens in Julian in November 2019. This date has now been rescheduled for April 23-25, 2021. The facility has made COVID safe adjustments, allowing for social distancing, and family pod cabins, and we will be sharing the camp with Kensington Community Church (KCC), who have made it an annual outing. Please contact Susan Namba (rknamba@cox.net) or Pam Crusberg (pcrusberg@aol.com), by February 28 if you are interesting in attending. There are a limited number of COVID-spaced rooms for families (or pods) up to 4 people, which we will be sharing with KCC. If you do not wish to camp overnight, you may choose attending for the day on Saturday from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
BORROWED SCENERY ART EXHIBIT
Kristi Lin's large woven art installation, entitled Borrowed Scenery, will continue to show at the Japanese Friendship Garden's Upper Garden Plaza next to the office through February 28 (de-installed Mar 1)! The exhibit will be open when the Garden is open. Check the Garden's website to see if there are any early closures before you go.

DON'T FORGET TO LOOK FOR RAINBOWS THIS WEEK!
Photo by Dewang Gupta on Unsplash
PRAYER
God of storms and rainbows,
God of rain and sunshine,
God of all creation we worship and adore you.
We gaze in wonder at the beauty of your creation
and marvel at stormy skies transformed with the vibrant colours of a rainbow.
Like Noah and his family,
we praise you for this everlasting sign of your love and care
for the whole creation in your desire to preserve and not destroy life.
And at Jesus' baptism,
the sky again revealed your love
when you identified him as your beloved Son,
strengthening him with the same Spirit
who empowers and strengthens each of us.
For all these assurances of your love for us and for the whole creation,
we praise and worship you, O God,
in the power of the Holy Spirit
and in the name of Jesus Christ,
our Saviour and Lord. Amen.
