Dear Colleague,
We need your help! The Diversity ILG Working Group invites you to help us disseminate a student learning survey (via Qualtrics) in your CAP Diversity and Social Justice (DSJ) course this academic term.
The Diversity ILG Working Group is convening this academic year with a three-fold goal:
- to benchmark institutions with successful scaffolded Diversity Institutional Learning Goals that draw from both curricular and co-curricular work on campus;
- to assess students' university experience with these offerings;
- to build campus-wide connections that foreground a complex and robust definition of diversity.
In short, we want to know if we are accomplishing the goals that we are intending to achieve with the CAP DSJ requirement.
The assessment committee is interested in student learning experiences around diversity and social justice.
The survey is designed to serve not as a teaching evaluation but rather as an opportunity to learn more about how students are engaging with DSJ learning.
Colleagues who choose to participate in disseminating the survey will be invited to partake in a workshop to help us interpret the results, reflect on lessons learned, and explore how to enhance student learning.
If you might be willing to help us, please take a few moments to complete this Spring 2021 Survey Interest Form by March 1 2021 - 11:55 p.m.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We're happy to chat!
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
