Do you talk with your older loved ones about regular foot care? Probably not. Who does that!?
But did you know that foot health has a significant impact on overall health? For the elderly, or anyone who is less mobile, their reduced activity decreases blood flow to the feet. This can cause toenails to grow more slowly and increases the risk of infection. Health conditions, such as diabetes, are an added concern for foot health.
I’m not a pedicurist, but I have a network of trusted referral partners who are gentle and specialized at caring for neglected feet. Just last month alone, we had three requests for this service! We were glad to make those referrals.
Do you or someone you know need to schedule an in-home pedicure to care for painful overgrown nails and cuticles, calluses, or ingrown nails? Reach out.
Everyday Hands can also be present for scheduled appointments until you or your family member has built a relationship with a pedicurist.
Here to help,
Lauren
