FRIDAY FAITH ON FILM
THE BLACK CHURCH:
THIS IS OUR STORY. THIS IS OUR SONG.
HOSTED BY HENRY LOUIS GATES JR.

Join us on Friday evenings on 5,12,19, and 26 March beginning at 6:30 as we watch this mini-series in four parts and hold a discussion after each part.   We will use the Zoom meeting information for our worship service found above.

Beloved in Christ,

Grace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   A little more than a year ago, we began to hear rumblings of COVID-19.  We had no idea that we would be impacted directly by something so small and invisible that seemed to be happening so far away.  We have weathered the shutdown, reopening, temporary shutdown, and find the new hope of the vaccine that will protect us in the days to come.

We were able to continue our ministry during COVID, and in many ways expand. We have a faithful group that not only gathers in person, but also online via Zoom.  We engage in worship on Sundays, and pray Evening Prayer on Wednesday evenings, partake in Bible Study using online platforms, and have a seen amazing connections in our community with the Essential Items Drives that benefit our most vulnerable neighbors.

While we have much to be thankful for and to celebrate, we write to you because we still need your help.  Just as every family, organization, or group has a budget, we too at St. James have financial obligations that need to be met.  We are required by canon to report this information to our diocese and on the Parochial Report submitted to the Episcopal Church. Your continued support is needed to ensure our ability to faithfully serve our community.  Please click on the link below to fill out the attached Statement of Intention for the 2021 year.

Every blessing we have comes from God.  By sharing our time, talent, and treasure, we say Thank you in a tangible and thoughtful way.  Thank you  for your continued support of our ministry.

Thank you for your continued support of our monthly Essential Items Drive.  The community turnout was steady on a cold, snowy day.  45 cars dropped in to help our neighbors in need. The next one will be on 20 March.
