Good news for students that receive the Special Needs Scholarship and for those that might be able to receive it in the future...fingers crossed!
The GA Special Needs Scholarship statute,SB47, passed out of committee favorably on Monday. Thank you to all of you who reached out directly and/or had parents reach out.
It's expected that the legislation will go before the full Senate next week. It is always helpful when legislators hear from parents about how the program has impacted their family and to ask them for support as it comes to a vote. If you can help, there is a pre-written e-mail that can be shared here and a graphic that can be shared on social media below.
