ULRHS Potato in a Bucket Challenge 2021
We shall be distributing the seed potatoes for this popular event on Saturday February 27th from 10 am-12 noon, outside the Uplyme Village Hall. For anyone who doesn't know, we are challenging you to see how heavy a crop you can grow from a single potato! Results to be judged at the Summer Show.
In order to operate as Covid-safely as possible, please observe these precautions:
- Masks to be worn – please observe distancing and do not hang around to chat
- If you have a 2020 bucket, there is no need to bring it with you – simply pick up a tuber from the tray and make sure your name has been recorded
- If you need a bucket, please ask – a sanitised bucket will be given to you with a tuber. Your name and phone number will need to be recorded
- Take your tuber away and grow it on ready for the Show
- If you are not able to come along to collect a tuber, please ring Robin Britton on 01297 631850 and delivery can be arranged.

We anticipate that the plug plants to grow on for the Show will be distributed in the same way in March and April, dates to be advised when Groves can let us have them.
