Lent 2021

'Everything looks different in this world when seen through the lens of the cross.'

During Lent we are going to be looking at what the cross tells us about different aspects of life and faith. We have a  sermon series on the cross, for more information click here.

We are also reading a Lent book with the opportunity to discuss it on zoom on Sunday evenings.

For more information on the book we're going to be reading and the meeting dates click here.

The Church of England's Lent resources theme for 2021#Live Lent: God's Story, Our Story. Daily Bible readings and reflections will help us to explore God’s story and the impact this has made on our story. It will also give us ideas and encouragement on how to make telling these stories to others a natural part of our lives.

Click on the Church of England website below for information on downloading the app or signing up for daily reflections

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the group of elected members who help lead the church and support our mission to share the love of Jesus with our community. Each time it meets, the PCC discusses important matters like our activities, finances and safeguarding as well as considering recommendations by the different action groups.

Summary of the last meeting: when it met on 1st February, the PCC's main discussions focussed on our finances and the investigation by the Maintenance Action Group into the potential for a more environmentally friendly heating system. The PCC agreed that the planned stewardship campaign should be postponed due to ongoing Covid restrictions and that a one of appeal should be made at the Annual Meeting. The PCC also asked the Maintenance Action Group to continue their investigations.

Members of the church are entitled to read the minutes of PCC meetings. Please apply to the church office to do so.
