SENATOR Newsletter

Welcome to the first edition of the SENATOR newsletter!
 
It has been six months since the project kicked off in September 2020, and the SENATOR team has been working hard to start developing the project.
 
As part of the CIVITAS initiative, the project has started to meet with its two “sister projects” LEAD and Ulaads in order to collaborate to better inform about their research development and to build a vision of future on-demand urban logistics.
 
In this newsletter we also share the Commission’s Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, published in December, which seeks for a green, smart and affordable mobility in Europe, and will serve to guide the work for the next four years.
 
In addition, we highlight the importance of the “Supergrid Logistics” concept, that SENATOR will try to demonstrate, and that was the trend with greatest impact in the last 5th Logistics Trends Radar by DHL.
 
Finally, we share the participation of SENATOR in the Urban Mobility Days. The project was presented by the coordinator in this annual event in the session “Innovative zero-emission freight solutions for cities”.
