Budget Vote Deadline March 12 - eBallot Reminder

The SWAN budget, membership fees, and EBSCO group purchase is in its final week for membership approval. SWAN is utilizing an e-ballot vote through a 3rd party service. Library directors and administrators were sent user login codes and passcodes via the service.

Deadline to submit the ballot is Friday, March 12th. We encourage those who have not voted to become familiar with the e-ballot process as this will be used again for the SWAN Board election in May.

Please contact Aaron Skog, SWAN Executive Director at 630-326-7022 or by email at aaron@swanlibraries.net if you have not received the private e-ballot email with user login and passcode.

SWAN Board Meeting Recap

The February 19th SWAN Board meeting was the final review of the SWAN budget, membership fees, and EBSCO year-2 renewal.

The Board reviewed and approved a new membership policy, Library Use Policy. This policy is intended for member libraries to follow as more of SWAN's services move into a web-based system. The policy outlines how libraries should follow security practices with staff passwords and access, as these new SWAN services could be accessible from anywhere in the world with access to the internet. You can read the policy online on SWAN Support under About > About SWAN > SWAN Member Policies > Library Use Policy.

You can watch a recording of the SWAN Board meeting online from the Support page Meetings & Documents listed for the February 19th date.
