First Communion Preparation Programme for Families

As You Wait Patiently...

Take time to refresh...

Dear <<First Name>>,

We hope you and the family are well in body, mind and spirit as you cope with this lockdown. We wanted to touch base with you regarding the Sacrament of First Holy Communion for *|HTML:MMERGE6|*.

You can be assured; the celebration of the Sacrament of First Holy Communion will take place. As you will understand we are waiting for the Government to lift restrictions to allow such gatherings to take place. Those groups who did not receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion last year, will be the first to do so once restrictions allow.

In the meantime, as we all wait patiently for this, we invite you, with *|HTML:MMERGE6|*, to reengage with some of the preparation material for the Sacrament. From now, and continuing weekly, during the Lenten and Easter Season we are offering a home-based preparation programme for those preparing for First Holy Communion in 2021, which we share with you also.

The content will be familiar to you and *|HTML:MMERGE6|*. To refresh these elements, we are encouraging you both to journey in faith again through this series of videos and conversation starter questions. These are child friendly resources for use at home in your own time and include some reading material and an online video resource.

We understand managing home, work and school life in the confines of one’s house is challenging at the moment. Therefore, we encourage you and *|HTML:MMERGE6|* to engage with these online resources in a time that suits the family.

In the meantime, we would encourage you to continue to pray with *|HTML:MMERGE6|* and to tune in on a Sunday for the streamed Mass at 11.30am.

We will be in touch about ceremonies as soon as Government guidelines allow us to make arrangements.

In the meantime, God bless and stay safe and well.

to families and children

'There is no pressure to celebrate the sacraments by any given deadline; we will use this time of uncertainty to support you to nurture your children as they journey towards the sacraments whenever they can be safely celebrated.'

The Main Story...
