Book Groups Update
A reminder that 2021 enrolment forms are due on 31 March. If you haven’t yet received one, please contact us on bookgroups@cae.edu.au or you can download a form here.  
 
Secretaries can now login to Book Groups Online to view book selections and meeting dates, and make changes if needed. Please let us know if you haven’t received your login details.
 
Please continue to check restrictions in your state or territory to ensure you can meet safely, while practising good hygiene and social distancing.

Literary News
The winners of the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards have been announced, with winners including Laura Jean Mackay’s The Animals in that Country for Fiction and Victorian Prize for Literature.

Reading Resolutions
Many fantastic titles have been developed into TV series or films in the last few years. Whether you watch it as a group or individually, watching the adaptation is s a great way to add to your book group discussion! Here’s a round-up of recent adaptations of Book Group favourites. 
February Giveaway - Nomadland
Two-time Oscar-winner Frances McDormand gives the performance of the year in a film that celebrates compassion, community and the resilience of the human spirit, from acclaimed director Chloé Zhao. Based on the non-fiction book by Jessica Bruder. 
 
Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad.

Nomadland is in cinemas from 4 March. Thanks to Searchlight Pictures, we have five double passes to give away!
