Tuesday 9th February saw the celebration of Safer Internet Day across the world in over 170 countries. As organisers of the day here in the UK, it was absolutely incredible to see the range and variety of activities that took place right across the country. We know that with lockdown, the Safer Internet Day celebrations were a bit different than usual, but we are delighted to see how many people got involved this year! The UKSIC has been able to continue offering free online safety training despite the current lockdown restrictions. Remote sessions have now become such a staple part in how we communicate with each other that we are very fortunate to continue delivering online safety training throughout this time.

Childnet Film Competition Officially Launches

The Childnet Film Competition is officially launched – and is once again open to all schools and youth groups across the UK.

Following the success of this year’s Safer Internet Day on February 9th, we are asking young people to create a short film or storyboard exploring the theme of: Separating fact from fiction - finding trustworthy information online.

At a time when young people are using the internet more than ever, we want them to take the lead and create their own short films.
