Cooper closes out Middlebrook Academy, Finishing 3-0.

In the last matchup of the weekend, Cooper found themselves against a strong guard-dominated Middlebrook squad. Cooper International started off strong once again taking an early 20-10 lead. Pushing the tempo, Middlebrook clawed back with a 9-2 run closing the gap to 3. Andrew Palacios, led all scorers with 13 points in the first half, and Cooper went into halftime with a small lead 48-22.
Cooper International is establishing itself as a second hand team. Spurred by Tony Corley’s 16 points and 5 rebounds and Alex Tew’s 12 points and 13 rebounds, Cooper would take a demanding lead in the first 10 minutes. Gabriel Gonzales who did not see playing time in the first half for personal reasons, would add 10 points and 3 assists in limited minutes. Rudy Brown Jr. sparked the team with 9 points and 5 rebounds and Dondre Bausley consistency proved a difference maker with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Andrew Palacios would finish with 22 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks as Cooper defeated Middlebrook 97-80.
