The 2021 KOF will be a hybrid event: actual events and virtual events – which will be screened online. But, there is lots more to do here…… The aim is for a full programme of locally produced events and specials that appeal to ‘local’ visitors, the festival go-ers.
What is the festival message?
Stay in the greater Knysna area for (at least) the full 10 days of the Knysna Oyster Festival
Stay. Work. Play
Who are our visitors?
Visitors will be (mostly) South Africans
They are price conscious and price sensitive
People that are coming to participate in events which (due to the pandemic) will be niche (i.e. limited/controlled numbers).
People that are coming here because there is lots to do – per festival calendar - even though they are not participating in any events.
How can you/your business be involved ?
Offer an ‘eatery’ special – for an hour a day, for a whole day, or better yet, for the full duration of the festival. This could be :
a meal special, a value add (e.g. a bowl of ice-cream with each main course ordered)
or even entertainment (e.g. live music) at your venue
This will be included and promoted within the main festival programme, but you would also need to do your own promotion thereof.
All participating businesses must ensure that the relevant COVID-19 safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
When do you have to commit by?
Closing date to be a part of the KOF calendar of events is Friday, 16 April 2021 – or if the calendar fills before then. So don’t wait……
