Hi, all, and happy Wednesday!

I keep meaning to mention--and keep forgetting--that I now have a workshop up and running! It's called Democracy 101, and I am happy to put it on (free!) for any interested group. It's under an hour, and gives a basic tutorial on how to call your reps, why it matters, and how else to create a "democracy hygiene routine" that'll help keep our country--and your mental health--healthy. Email me if you want to put one together!

I'll be at a fundraiser with Katrina Foley and Harley Rouda tonight, and would dearly love to see some of your faces there. Tickets start at $10, so it's affordable. This race is quite important to me, and critical to our retaking the House seats we lost in Orange County in 2022. More info below.

Hi, I'm a constituent calling for a couple of reasons today:

First, Postmaster DeJoy's testimony in front of the House Oversight committee today proves that he is utterly unqualified for his job and needs to be fired. Please ask the Senator to work with President Biden to fill all of the empty seats on the USPS board quickly with pro-post office members who will swiftly move to fire DeJoy. Thanks.

Second, I support the American Rescue Act, and want the Senator to support it too. Thanks!

Hi, I'm a constituent calling for a couple of reasons today:

First, I want the Congressmember to support comprehensive immigration reform, and a good first step would be to enact the Biden-Harris U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021. I also want Congress to take urgent action to reunite every family separated by ICE.

Second, I support the American Rescue Act, and want the Congressmember to support it vocally and completely. Thanks!

Hi, I'm writing as a constituent about the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which I would like the Congressmember to support.

We can—and must—do everything in our power to make sure we bring an end to the type of police violence that has claimed the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and so many others whose names don't make headlines. This bill is an important step forward in doing so, and it is long overdue.

While the federal government only has so much control over state and local police, this legislation is a critical step toward finally creating an America where Black lives matter and Black people receive justice.
