GREENSBORO, NC (February, 2021) – On Thursday, February 25, 2021, The Salvation Army of Greensboro announced it will hold a new yearly Golf Tournament called The Red Kettle Classic. This tournament will feature different teams from Greensboro, along with sponsors, that will unite to raise proceeds for the programs and projects within The Salvation Army of Greensboro Command. The event is currently set for May 20, 2021 with Double Tee Start Times at 8AM and 1PM and will be located on the beautiful Grandover Resort East Course at 1000 Club Rd Greensboro, NC 27407.

Captain Matt Hedgren, Corps Officer for the Greensboro Command said, “We could not be more excited about this new endeavor! The Red Kettle Classic embodies the true desire of The Salvation Army to Do The Most Good by coming together in order to assist those in need here in Greensboro. I look forward to seeing the communities and organizations of Greensboro unite with us with The Red Kettle Classic.”

The tournament will open registration opportunities beginning March 12, 2021 and is currently seeking sponsors for the event. More information on registration and sponsorships can be found on the Greensboro Commands website here.

Kelli Coley, Director of Development for the Greensboro Command said, “We have been working many hours to develop a sponsorship packet for local, regional, and national business’ here in Greensboro to have opportunities to come together and make an impact here. All proceeds stay here in Greensboro and will be used by the Greensboro Command to continue Fighting For Good.”
