Magick ✦ Inclusivity ✦ Connection ✦ Community

Emerging from Darkness

After a long and cold winter, the first day of Spring is only a few weeks away. A time where light and dark is perfectly balanced. A time when we as Pagans seek that balance in ourselves as we begin uncurling out into the growing light.

In our uncurling, Wyoming Valley CUUPS excited to announce our first in-person event of the year. As we move forward, we will be able to add more in-person events in April. We want to do this right for the good and health of our community. Please continue to wear a mask and socially distance at our in-person events. We will be incorporating some of these techniques including a quiet space below as well as these magickal protection tools for reintegration.

In the space of isolation and darkness, there has been some wonderful connections. Our online community has grown far and wide during this pandemic. The local Wyoming Valley CUUPS community as loved connecting with so many others around the world! So much so, we plan to keep a balance of both in-person and online/hybrid events online. Some of our plans going forward through the year:
  • In-Person classes held at the church are to be streamed via Zoom.
  • Online classes will eventually be available for viewing in-person on our projection screen in the UUCWV Sanctuary.
  • Some rituals will remain online like our Full Moon Rituals (usually the day before or after the Full Moon Labyrinth Walks)
  • Sabbats will be in-person. We hope to get back to Sabbat Rituals and potlucks with our friends from the Grove of the Ancient River Coven soon, pandemic permitting.
If you have any ideas or thoughts, let us know. We'd love to hear them.

With Love
The Wyoming Valley CUUPS Community

Hail the Community!
Answering the Calls - #4
The Call of Connection

Thursday, March 4th
7PM EST

Answering the Calls is a series of 7 classes and discussions in Earth-Centered Spiritual Practices developed by Emily Haberkern and Shannon Saylor. This informal training is focused specifically on Empowered Witchcraft while providing a grounding in Paganism, magickal theory, dedicant practices, mysticism, spellcasting, the basics of journeywork, and basic metaphysical self defense. No previous experience in Witchcraft is needed.

Our Fourth Call is the Call of Connection.
Deep within us - no matter who we are - there lives a feeling of wanting to be lovable, of wanting to be the kind of person that others like to be with. And the greatest thing we can do is to let people know that they are loved and capable of loving” - Fred Rogers.
Building community and connection is made possible through opening up to all the possibilities that love brings, letting love lead, and learning how to strike the chords of love both within yourself and towards the world.
