Camping fees reduced for users

Council has reduced the cost to camp at Ball Bay and St Helen’s Beach camping reserves.

Visitors will notice a 44 per cent reduction in fees across the two sites, with the cost of a daily site reducing from $27 per night to $15 per night and the weekly fee dropping from $156 to $87.

It is hoped that the reduction in fees will encourage more locals and visitors to enjoy the facilities and get back to nature.

Culvert replacement
works about to start

Council will be replacing aged culverts on Munbura Road in Sarina and Tedfords Road in Victoria Plains.

The existing culverts are showing signs of deterioration and require immediate replacement.

Full road closures are necessary to replace the existing culverts as they span the full width of the road. Detours will be in place.
