Hello, I’m Cllr Tony Dale, Cabinet Member for the Economy and Skills. More grant funding is on the way for businesses after the government issued guidance for the next tranche of payments.
It will cover the period from 16 February to 31 March and the good news is that the Council will automatically pay those eligible businesses which have already successfully received a grant. There is no need to re-apply and payments will be paid automatically to bank accounts. Please bear with us while we process grants to over 2,000 businesses.
Meanwhile, payments for new applicants are continuing to be processed with regular payments being made to businesses. Anyone who has applied and has yet to receive payment should check their emails regularly in case of queries from the grants team.
Businesses that have yet to apply for any grant can do so below:
England is still in a national lockdown and businesses must continue to comply with the current restrictions. The government has published its step-by-step plan to ease these restrictions with a phased reopening of businesses and venues through the spring and summer. The government has made it clear that these plans will be subject to specific conditions being met so could be subject to change.
