What is up! Daren aka DLake Creates here and this is “Three Thing Thursday”. The monthly-ish newsletter early on had an awesome idea of tying in Groundhog's Day Valentine's Day and Black History Month with endurance sports. Then the newsletter (aka me) sat there and said "nope, this does not make logical sense. Please stop, Daren".

There's always next year, right? Most editions (this might be the last one in this format?!) I send you a quick curated list of a few interesting and cool things I’ve found or created to help you perform better as you get older. Everything can be applied in your endurance sports training/health/fitness/life/career as it's all interchangeable.

To save you time and mental energy, I’ll just cut straight to it with the three most important things that will/should/might help your endurance training moving forward.

I promise, next month I’ll come correct with a revised and updated format. This change was inspired by Rick Carabba of Brain Bank (new subscriber/writer/friend). Shoutouts my new friend!

And... If you don't get value out of this, well my apologies and RIP your time.

28 Black History Fitness/Endurance Sports Facts Instagram Series

Black people have done some amazing stuff in history and we continue to push the limits of what’s possible considering we haven't had the same priveledges as others. I decided to find black people dead and alive that have done historically amazing things.

What is Lactic Acid/Lactate? [Video]

This is something that I realised I didn’t fully understand. Spoiler - The burn you feel when you are doing something hard/fast for a while isn’t actually acid. It’s hydrogen ions and carbon dioxide that’s not being cleared out from your muscles.

Find out more about this kinda complex and weird thing called Lactic Acid/Lactate and how you can actually use it as fuel in races, hard training and running from zombies!

Watch that here.

How The Rambling Runner Podcast Is Attempting To Run His Fastest 10k at 40 Years Old [Podcast]

Earlier this month, I was able to get Matt Chittim of the Rambling Runner podcast on Master of Some (my podcast). His story and the way he’s going about this journey are interesting and potentially valuable to some folks out there.

I even put together a brand new theme song intro and rapped/sang my podcast intro.

Why would you not listen to that here?!
