The year 2020 will be remembered in history as the year the world came to a shrieking halt. Businesses shut down. Schools shut down. Through it all, Communities In Schools of Indiana stood side-by-side with the students who needed us most.
As the CIS Day of Giving approaches this May, please consider supporting our ongoing work as schools are still coping with the ongoing effects of COVID. One year ago our organization quickly transitioned to continue empowering students - in schools and beyond - despite the social, economic, and mental challenges of the time. Today, we stand stronger than ever and ready to support kids wherever the world goes next.

As Black History month comes to a close, CIS Indiana celebrates the success of the students and families it is privileged to work with day-in and day-out. Despite the challenges faced - especially over the last 12 months - Indiana students have once again shown resilience and determination when faced with obstacles.

Whether school buildings are open or closed, we're always there for our students. Kids who already struggle with poverty, emotional trauma, and other learning barriers need our support more than ever. At Communities In Schools we do whatever it takes - tutoring, mentoring, providing resources for at-home learning and just checking in. We're in schools and in communities making sure all students can learn and succeed.
We will always be #AllinforKids and in the face of this crisis, we will show America #WhatWeAreMadeOf.
