The beautiful illustration above, created by artist Amanda Schutz, was inspired by the vision of the Haitian Women's Federation, and will continue to help us tell their story here in Canada. [click the image for full-size view!] It is also being framed to hang at the newly constructed Haitian Women's Federation headquarters/mills initiative in rural Haiti.

We’re teaming up again with the Refined Fool & Burger Rebellion (London Rd. location) to host our annual IWD party.
15% of sales (takeout & in-store) between 3-8 PM on Monday, March 8th will go to Rayjon to support the women's breadfruit initiative featured in the podcast, empowering women in Haiti.

All ladies will receive a beautiful rose, courtesy of Paulina's Flower Shoppe!
Depending on Covid restrictions, there will be limited live seating and pop-ups from The Girl Gang and Women's March Sarnia-Lambton. Reservations are encouraged!

There are lots of fun ways to get involved in #IWD2021 celebrations, even from a distance:
- Vote! We're supporting an art contest for local female artists. Check out the amazing submissions and cast your vote before 5PM on March 8th!

- Strike a pose! The theme for #IWD2021 is #ChoosetoChallenge. So whether you're raising your hand in dissent to protest a specific inequality, or you just want to stand in global solidarity, do the pose! [see photos below]. If you tag @rayjonsc and @refinedfool on social media, and use the hashtag #ChoosetoChallenge, you'll be entered in our prize draw. Bonus entries if you tell us what you plan to do this year to support women's rights and the empowerment of women globally.

Join us for a fireside conversation
with women featured in Tapestry 2030: On Friday, March 5th at 8:00am EST, we'll be joined by women leaders from Malawi, Haiti and Peru, as they reflect on a feminist COVID-19 recovery. Tapestry 2030 producer and host Safa will be in conversation with special guests featured in our Tapestry 2030 Podcast & Illustration series, including Elida & Renaud from Haiti!
