It's almost Spring, ener-G-savers!

Dear ener-G-savers,

This time, we write with a request for your help. Two requests actually.

First, we want to get the word out about great energy efficiency deals available for landlords and property managers. Are you one, or do you know one, or are you a renter? Then PLEASE share this information with them, because there’s never been a better time for them to take action. They have the opportunity to get a free energy audit of their buildings, and learn of all the generous financial incentives to make improvements that will save energy and money, and keep tenants happier and stay in place longer.

Second, there are also amazing deals available for business properties, nonprofits, and houses of worship. Please share this with people you know at those institutions. Talk to someone at your church or synagogue or mosque. Tell them that they can sign up for a free audit, and learn what they can do for their buildings to save on energy costs, all the while, doing the right thing for the earth! People often think they can’t afford to do work on their buildings, but the incentives offered by the state and utilities can make the seemingly  impossible very do-able!

We know that the steps towards becoming more energy efficient can be complicated. So we at ener-G-save have partnered with the Center for EcoTechnology, a local nonprofit who can make it easy. They will guide a landlord or owner of a business, nonprofit, or church, to the right contractors and to all the available help there is to be able to do significant work.

They will explain the programs and help you find the easiest way forward.

Earth Day is coming!

As you may remember, ener-G-save is working with schools and communities on the environmental education program called Cooler Communities. Covid definitely slowed things down, but we invite you to check out a virtual program we ran a few months ago and that is still accessible. Have a look and share it with your kids too. This virtual Earth Expo at Berkshire Museum boasts brilliant student's art exhibits on climate change and the question "How Shall We Live", students' projects and ideas for reducing waste, and much more . Click here.

And stay tuned for more. Springfield is organizing a virtual event as well and we’ll let you know soon how to join the students in making a difference.
ener-G-save is a not-for-profit service whose mission is to improve energy efficiency and inspire climate leadership on the community level in Pioneer Valley and the Berkshires.

If we can answer any questions or help in any way, please email susan@ener-g-save.com. And tell your friends about ener-G-save. Share this newsletter too!

Stay well, stay safe. We’re getting towards the end of this rough time. Let’s all do what we need to do in order to keep things moving in the right direction.

Warmly,
The ener-G-save team

PS. If you haven’t had your audit, you still can by calling Mass Save, or if you’re currently receiving fuel assistance, calling your Community Agency Program.
