Good News!

Services at church will resume
from Palm Sunday, 28 March

As you may have seen in Rev Stephen Poxon's WhatsApp message on Friday (see below for how to sign-up to receive these messages), the Church Council on Thursday night agreed to re-open church for Sunday services from Palm Sunday, 28th March.

As before, you are asked to let Bev Combes know by Saturday evening if you plan to attend worship the following morning to facilitate efficient Test & Trace records, and you will be required to wear a mask for the whole time that you are on church premises. Please read the guidance on our website for more details.

Online Worship

We continue to worship together as a Circuit through our online service available on the New River Circuit Facebook and YouTube pages, followed by our MHMC community Zoom Coffee & Chat meeting - take a quick look at this page on our website for some helpful tips to taking part in the chat.

During Lent, our services will be produced by different church communities from across the Circuit:

Circuit Lent Course

Sundays at 6pm
Continuing on 14th March

We continue to journey through Lent together as we meet on Zoom in shared study of the material produced by the London District of the Methodist Church: 'Woven — a Lent Course', which is for both personal and group study during the weeks of Lent and we hope you will find it strengthening and challenging.

Our sessions of Circuit Lenten Worship and Study will continue this Sunday evening at 6pm. Everyone can join us from either their phone, mobile, tablet or laptop computer using this zoom meeting link (Meeting ID: 872 4091 8026, Passcode: 299877)

Do you have any contributions for Wellspring?

Gill and Megan will be producing an edition of Wellspring in the next couple of weeks, and would be interested to receive ideas of suitable content. In order to avoid duplication and to discuss length, illustrations etc, it would be helpful to chat about any submissions prior to receiving the finished article. Contributions would be used in this or a subsequent edition of Wellspring. Many thanks!

Watch again the
World Day of Prayer Service

If you were unable to attend the World Day of Prayer Service earlier in March, or wish to re-watch it, you can watch the service again from our Youtube site. Our thanks to Gill Simpson and Bev Combes for coordinating and leading this year's service, which folk from 12 local churches attended.

Receive the Thought for the Day on your phone

If you have a smartphone with WhatsApp, you can receive a link to the Circuit Thought for the Day and other updates direct to your phone from Revd Stephen Poxon. The messages are sent using WhatsApp Broadcast, so only Stephen will know your mobile number.

All you need to do is add Stephen's mobile number to your contacts (you won't receive the broadcast messages unless you do), and then send a text to Stephen with your name and a request to be added to the broadcast.
