                                                  SPRING 2021 NEWSLETTER

Hello Credo family!!! Spring is just around the corner and I'm grateful to have made it through another Midwest winter. Spring is such a wonderful season because it brings us new beginnings and fresh starts. During the winter the trees look like skeletons, no life to speak of. They lack color and personality. Now some of these trees are strong and big, others are frail and small. I felt like those trees this winter. I was just there, trying to find sun, seeking warmth during a cold time. I believe we are all trees at some point. We are capable of growth, but sometimes our environment makes it hard to show our vibrant colors, to flourish where we stand, deeply rooted in dirt. We, like trees, seek a source for life. The tree needs water, sunlight, and room to grow. We need living water, the light from the Son, and room to grow. If we remain deeply rooted in scripture, seeking our Savior in all we do.... we flourish, we grow and we become the light we seek, for others to see.

Each newsletter will now contain a brief summary of each position & their responsibilities on Credo's Board of Directors. This newsletter we are featuring Diana Hopson, our Post Weekend Director.

Diana keeps track of reunion groups. She organizes the secuela to keep participants encouraged & connected. At these gatherings they have the opportunity to meet other members in the community. Diana goes above and beyond by connecting to other groups like Hope over Addiction. She has taken some members to Narcan trainings and Overdose Awareness Walk's. This educates the participants and gets our name out in the public. Diana and Deb D have set up a table for Credo to spread the word about our community and commitment to helping those affected by addictions. We have lost many friends & family, these Overdose Awareness walks allow us to honor the memories of those loved ones. We are fighting a battle and it's a spiritual battle against addiction & mental health. We have the answer so we need to get there as a community. When we do God's work and let our light shine for Jesus, our community will be blessed.
Post Weekend Director,
Diana Hopson
