Today is a day for videos--here's a video of my reading the first chapter of Battle for the Wastelands and the latest #booktube review of The Thing in the Woods. Also book recommendations for those who like Weird Westerns.

In which I read the first chapter of Battle for the Wastelands for you.
#BookTuber LadyJaneBooks has done a review of The Thing in the Woods. She really enjoyed it and sounds like she's interested in covering the sequel The Atlanta Incursion. Some of her fans, including another #booktuber, have bought copies. Oh happy day. :)
Book Recommendation: R.S. Belcher's Golgotha Series

After a Twitter conversation with authors Cat Rambo and R.S. Belcher, I checked out the latter author's Weird Western Golgotha series. The name comes from the small town in the Old West where all sorts of weird things keep happening. The series is very All Myths Are True--there are supernatural beings based on Jewish, Christian, Gnostic, Chinese, and Native American lore, and that's just in the first two.

There are four books out currently--Six Gun Tarot, The Shotgun Arcana, The Queen of Swords, and Ghost Dance Judgement, the latter of which is from small-press Falstaff Books rather than Tor. My public library only has the first two, but I've read both and enjoyed them and requested the library purchase the other two. The author says more are coming. :)
