Hi <<First Name>>

Well the Autumn weather made it self known in March.  We got some decent rain, shame that our water tank leaks like a sieve.

Wow the group has now removed over one hundred Predators from the Waitakere Township, great effort guys. Lets try and make it 200 by Christmas.

We have some new members this month be sure to logon to http://trap.nz and register your traps. Sharing your success helps to motivate us all.

I have discovered they have some great tutorial pages.  To register your traps and start recording your success have a read of this article HERE they also have some great videos on YouTube HERE.

New Rat tunnels

I got some wood from Mitre 10 and made two rat tunnels.

The plans called for 1800 ml wood, but 1500 ml was delivered.  I found some great plans from Predator Free Dunedin, its a pretty simple project if you have a skill saw.

Luckily I had some spare Chicken mesh that I used for the ends.

Have a look at the finished Tunnel HERE

Wasps Wasps Wasps

Wow I have killed a few wasp nests on our property, and every time I walk the trap line I'm finding more and more.  They seem to be very strong this year for some reason.  Causing issues for Beekeepers in the area.

I even stood on a nest the other day and earned a few strings, ouch!

This Monthly Trapper Tip

Have you ever found your Rat Trap Tunnel mesh pulled up and and the trap set off?  Check out this months Blog post for some reasons why and what you can do about it.

What is pushing up the mesh screen on my trap tunnel

End of the Line

Daylight savings ends on 4 April, so we will have more daylight in the mornings.  How are you going to use that extra hour of sun light?

Have a great Trapping month.
Thanks
