Here's what you need to know today

Pre-Registration for SLSC will begin on April 1, 2021
This will happen on Checklick
follow this link to find your account.
HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK THIS YEAR
- Go to Checklick.com and either set up an account or log in to your existing account
**SLSC has been using this system for years, so you likely have an account if you're a returning sailor. This year to address Covid concerns, Checklick added a "waitlist" layer to their system which we will use for our Pre-Registration
- Choose the session/s that you want to register for
- This action will be considered Pre-Registration
- You will register with your credit card, but you WILL NOT be charged
- In May, your Pre-Registration will become an official Registration, and then your credit card will be charged the full amount
**NOTE: we send you a notification by email prior to this
**Also note that we may need to shift and adjust these times and dates based on Provincial Guidelines....Just know that we will be in contact with you as it happens.

*This year due to Covid cohort restrictions, you are required to sign up by the session, or 2 weeks at a time.

After careful consideration, the Board of SLSC has decided NOT to raise the rates for this year.

Tell me more about the
Covid Protocols
|
|
|
OLD:
Groups change sometimes
even daily
NEW:
Cohorts or "Pods"
These groups of no more than 15 people,
including the instructors, stay together all week,
with staggered arrival and departure times
|
|
|
OLD:
Please don’t come if you’re sick
NEW:
Daily screening protocols.
Not permitted if showing ANY symptoms.
|
|
|
OLD:
Indoor activities possible, both for learning
and if the weather is bad
NEW:
No indoor learning or activities…
All learning and fun to be had outdoors on water
and under our new tents!
|
|
OLD:
Bare face, sunglasses, whateves
NEW:
Face coverings required when on land
(assuming this is still the Provincial Guideline)

OLD:
Kids squished together,
overlapping whenever possible
NEW:
Physical distancing measures required
|

OLD:
Boats cleaned at the beginning (June)
and end of Cub (August)
NEW:
Regular daily cleaning and
sanitizing measures.
PLUS sailors will be assigned boats
for each session.

OLD:
Come for a few days, come for a week
….come when you can!
NEW:
Come for two consecutive weeks at a
minimum (to maintain the cohort system
and maximize fun and sailing learning!)

OLD:
Bring your snacks and throw the
waste away at Club: Resulted in
overflowing garbage cans.
NEW:
Boomerang snacks – sailors required to
bring food and packaging waste home
with them in their bag
|

SLSC is always open for donations. We continue to build our fleet and prepare for the future.
