Pool Cover Drop Off Success

People came from far and wide to take advantage of the Town's Pool Cover Drop Off Day.

To offer a solution to divert unwanted solar pool cover material from landfill waste, the Town hosted its second Pool Cover Drop Off Day. The day saw people travel from as north as Burns Beach and as south as Pinjarra to take advantage of the initiative.

The Town's partner in this program, Green Machine Labs were on hand to provide information on how the pool covers will be recycled and what they will be repurposed into.

The initiative, the first of its kind in Australia, has recently been nominated for two awards at the 2021 WasteSorted Awards.

The next Pool Cover Drop Off Day will be held on Saturday, 21 August.
