Society of American Foresters National Convention
Call for Presentations

Prescribed burn in Florida.

The 2021 Society of American Foresters (SAF) National Convention will be held November 3–7 at the newly renovated Sacramento Convention Center. The Convention will explore the critical role that forests play in providing life-giving ecosystem services and serving as green infrastructure to our communities. Join us and equip yourself to navigate policy and market dynamics, forest health and disturbances, technological shifts, and cultural changes in turbulent times that call for an inclusive approach to forestry as a practice.

The SAF D4 Wildland Fire Working Group is working with Conference Planners to develop a Wildland Fire Tract related to fire disturbance and is collaborating with other working groups where focus areas overlap (eg. carbon sequestration on prescribed v. wildfire). With this, the D4 Wildland Fire Working Group is reaching out to solicit wildland fire science papers and presentations for the conference.
