HERE IS HIGHLAND’S SUNDAY SCHEDULE

- 8:40am Streamed music/sermon in the Chapel (mask-required)
- 8:40am Life Center
- 10am Chapel with live music and streamed sermon
- 10am Life Center
- 11:20am Life Center
- All of these Gatherings can be watched live at hbcwaco.org or on the Highland app. 

We are asking Koinonia ABF, Prime Time ABF, and Empty Nest ABF to attend the 10am Chapel Gathering - that would be so helpful!
 
We continue our series this Sunday called Where There’s Smoke as we see what God’s Word says about depression, anxiety, and anger.

WELLNESS CENTER UPDATE
As we continue to move forward with the physical building, we also continue to move ahead with our current ministries. We still need to raise $291,750 to finish out the project. If the Lord puts it on your heart to give this week, would you consider doing so? We cannot wait to open the doors of this new building for ministry all around our neighborhood! MEDICAL DEBT PAYOFF

Highland has a goal of raising $75,000 to eliminate $8 million of medical debt in the Greater Waco area. Bring cash or check to Highland by April 4. From now through April 4, anything given to “Missions” by text or online on a Sunday will go directly toward the Medical Debt Payoff Project. For more information, go HERE
NEW MEMBER CLASS
 
If you are interested in knowing more about Highland and what it means to be a covenant member, we would love to see you on Sunday, Mar. 21. Join us for a meal, a time to hear about the direction and beliefs of Highland, and conversations with staff. Register for New Member Class HERE
STUDENT UPDATES
 
We will meet this Sunday, at 10am, for Student Connection in grade specific classrooms. This Wednesday, Mar. 17, we will meet in our Home Groups. You can find Home Group location HERE

We are hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament for our next Sun Nights on Mar. 28, 6-8pm in the Life Center! This event is the perfect time for students to invite friends who might not normally attend Highland. There will be games and Cane's Chicken for those who do not desire to play in the tournament but just want to hang out!
D-NOW 2021
 
Disciple Now 2021 will take place April 22-25! This is a weekend purposed for retreat, food, fun, study of God’s Word, worship, and fellowship with others. This year we will have grades and genders split for teaching times in host homes, but THIS WILL NOT BE OVERNIGHT! PRETEEN CAMP

"Lost and Found" Preteen camp will be June 28 - July 2, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Camp, for completed 3rd - 5th Graders. Registration begins Monday, Mar. 15. For more information, go HERE

Legacy Family Ministry is offering another 6-week Countdown To Marriage class beginning Sunday, Mar. 28. We are also offering another Spring Weekender, May 22-23.

FOSTER/ADOPTION GRANT APPLICATION
 
If you are on a fostering/adopting journey and can use some financial assistance along the way, contact Jamie-Hipp@hbcwaco.org for more information and an application. All applications will be reviewed by a grant council on a quarterly basis. The first upcoming application deadline for 2021 will be Saturday, Mar. 20.
UNBOUND MINISTRIES: LIGHT UP THE DARK 5K 

A fun, family-friendly, “glow-in-the-dark” run to raise money and awareness for the anti-human trafficking work of Unbound. This annual event is fun for everyone, whether you are a slow walker or a professional runner! This year, they are offering in-person and virtual options for participants to fight human trafficking in Waco and around the world. The event will be on Saturday, Mar. 27. PRAY FOR GLOBAL MINISTRY PARTNERS
 
Pray for our ministry partners, whom we will call Paul and Laura, serving in Belarus. While the constitution of the country says it grants religious liberty, in practice many Christians find harsh persecution. Recently, a church our friends are connected with was threatened and harassed. Pray the Lord would grant the church perseverance and that they would have a renewed fervor for Him as they continue to love and minister to their neighbors and persecutors. 
MINISTRY PARTNERS | ELAM

ELAM is a ministry based in Iran and the surrounding region of the Middle East. Every day, Iranians are coming to Christ. Every week, new house churches are being born in Iran, despite persecution. ELAM exists to strengthen and expand this rapidly growing Church across the Middle East through gospel proclamation and discipleship. Right now God is moving in powerful ways throughout this part of the world. Join us in praying for the ministry of ELAM.
