Dear church,

This Sunday marks a unique anniversary for us. It was this time last year that we chose to move all of our in person gatherings on to Zoom due to the pandemic. What a change! What a year! While all of us agree that we long to be back together in person, we are grateful that this technology has helped us to stay safe, to stay rooted together in His Word and in relationship with one another, and to worship the Lord together while being apart if that makes sense. As your pastor, I want to thank you for connecting faithfully to the worship gathering each week and for participating in different ways: through our virtual meet and greet time in breakout rooms, to sharing testimonies, to leading prayers, to prayer and discussion after the message and after the service, etc. I also want to thank the worship teams for faithfully leading us in worship in song in a unique way and for the tech team that has supported them. Thank you to those of you who have helped co-host with me and shared lyrics on the screens and other important information in the chat box. I am forever grateful too to those of you who have lead Sunday school on Zoom for our older children and provided families with younger children wonderful content each week as well. Lastly, thank you to each of you who helped the home groups to stay connected on Zoom, as well as the youth group, the weekly prayer gathering, and so much more. This has been a team effort, and I praise God for each of your contributions during these uncertain times.
