We’ve all experienced gaming changing moments in our lives – just contemplate how your life would be different today had you made a different decision at a crucial juncture or hadn’t met that special person who transformed your future.  Jesus is, of course, the greatest game changer of history and our new series will continue to explore his impact on the lives of those in the first century and consequently the lessons we can learn from those encounters.
      Our Lord’s earthly ministry was birthed out of the fiery ordeal with Satan’s temptations.  Because Jesus was victorious over those temptations – no easy task – he was qualified to be the perfect Lamb of God who took away our sin.  His ability to resist gives us courage to face our own temptations knowing that James’ words are true, “Submit yourselves, then, to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  James 4:7 (NIV)
      Easter services are just four weeks away, so don’t forget to pick up an information card this Sunday to use as an invitation for your guests.  There will be the traditional Good Friday service, Sunrise service at Brown County State Park and Easter services celebrating the resurrection at the church building.  I’m looking forward to sharing those moments with you in the weeks ahead.
