An Update on True Impact Ministries

We here at True Impact Ministries wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day and much more important, HAPPY EASTER! Our prayer is that over the next few weeks you are able to take time to consider all that Jesus did for us approximately 2000 years ago. Our LORD, the God of the universe, came to earth as a human, lived a perfect life without sin, took all our sins on Himself and was killed on a cross. He was resurrected and rose to sit at the right hand of His Father, our God.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." - 1 Peter 1:3

True Impact Ministries is grateful for your support. We are especially grateful for your help in providing food and supplies to the children in Uganda. Together we have provided a way through the pandemic for several hundred children.

The Ugandan government has released a schedule for returning all the children back to school. The candidate classes started back late last year. Those are classes that will be testing to move to the next level, Primary 7, Secondary 4 and Secondary 6. They are scheduled to take their tests the end of March.

The rest of the grades will start up on a staggered schedule beginning in March. By May all children should be back in school. The plan is to shorten the learning schedule and advance children as soon as they can. We'll need to be on our toes to keep track of all our children and how they are doing in school.

Please take some time to pray for the children. Pray that they can absorb the teaching. Pray for the teachers as they are constantly having to adjust their teaching schedules. And pray for our team to be able to encourage the children.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7

Merinah is 11 years old born on April 22, 2009. Her mother tries to supply her family’s food by farming in other’s fields, but she is not able to pay school fees or fully provide for Merinah’s daily needs. Her father is deceased. She has been living with her grandparents in a remote village. With a newly provided sponsorship, Merinah will be able to return to Truth Christian School and attend school while living in the dormitory that True Impact built in 2018.
Merina loves learning English and playing netball (like basketball but without dribbling). With the schools reopening and children returning, she will be able to do that again.

Last year the pandemic impacted our team trip, so we are REALLY looking forward to this year's trip. We have big plans for the 20 or so people on the trip, including building a new school building in Kigalama to replace the old wooden building in the picture below. This will be exciting!
