Doubles competition will play their final minor round this weekend.
Orange Ball continue with their normal competition matches in the coming weeks.

please come out and use your club spirit to cheer on those teams that are playing this week. The more support the better for the players on court.
LES TAPP TOURNAMENT
Over the long weekend 3 of our junior players
were selected to participate in the Les Tapp Tournament,
played at Woodville Orion Tennis Club.
They were each a part of a team that represented
Southern Districts Tennis Association,
playing both doubles and singles against teams
from other Tennis SA Districts.

The team was undefeated in each round and were winners of their division.

JUNIOR INFORMATION
As we draw closer to the end of the season,
all available players will be playing during the finals,
which commence on Friday the 12th & Sat 13th March.
In total 3 out of 5 Yellow ball teams made the finals
and both of our Green Ball teams also will be playing finals.
Junior Finals
The Top 4 Teams qualify and participate in finals
12th & 13th March - Finals Commence for Yellow Ball and Green Ball Teams.
Finals will be held over 3 weeks from 12th & 13th,
then 19th & 20th March, with Grand Finals on 26th & 27th March.
Please note the following important information regarding finals.....
Referee
Anne Morgan will be the referee, she can be contacted on 0414 267 280.
Scoresheets
Players need to play in order of merit!
Please ensure that match sheets are exchanged BEFORE the match commences
These cannot be altered after exchanging them unless both teams agree -
without any undue pressure being placed for agreement either.
Please ensure that all players play the correct opponents.
Should the wrong players play off then the matches MUST be started again
and played correctly.
Once matches are complete, please take a photo of the score sheet and send it to
Jed Blood (0409 025 308) so that results can be entered into the system.
Folders will need to be returned to the club at the end of your match.
Balls
Rule 78. b) Major round matches: Each team to provide match balls –
each team of 8 to supply 8 new balls-each team of 4 to supply 4 new balls.
Division 1 singles competition shall provide an additional four balls for each match.
Rule 78. c) New balls to be used in all Men’s and Women’s Doubles.
Finals Rules
Rule 86.In the major round the matches are to be played in reverse order:
i.e. second double first, fourth single/fourth mixed double first.
Rule 87.The higher ranked team shall have home court advantage for the major round.
Rule 88.In the event of a dispute arising between teams in connection with match play,
failing light or inclement weather, the matter shall be referred to the Referee, whose decision shall be final.
Rule 89.Should any finals match that has commenced be incomplete for any reason
the higher placed team shall be declared the winner.
Rule 90.Any major round match that results in a draw is to be decided by
all male and female doubles playing tiebreaks. The team aggregating firstly the most tiebreaks
or secondly the most points in these tiebreaks shall be the winner.
If points are equal the match is to be decided by all doubles playing
further braces of tiebreaks until a result is achieved.

2021 SENIOR Winter Pennant Nominations
Tennis SA is very excited to open up nominations for Winter Pennant in 2021.
This year we will be offering a Men’s and Women’s singles and doubles
as well as a mixed competition.
