The next ICRS Midlands Hub event is taking place on March 19.
COVID-19 has highlighted issues of supply chain resilience and the importance of responsible procurement. This was further illuminated with examples such as third-party suppliers to Boohoo failing to pay the minimum wage.
Through this workshop we’ll be discussing the importance of having a responsible approach to procurement.
National Grid will also be sharing their responsible procurement strategy which we will have an opportunity to discuss and share ideas to help National Grid shape and implement this. Based on their Responsible Business Charter, National Grid are shaping their strategy, aligned to 4 pillars:
- People
- Community
- Economy
- Environment
This session is designed to be an informative, participative workshop, and National Grid have asked members of the ICRS to contribute to the review of their Responsible Business Strategy. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the finalisation of an important piece of work.
