DUT’S BUSINESS SCHOOL IS READY TO CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIO-ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION

Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) newly established Business School, under the ambit of the Faculty of Management Sciences is ready to advance contemporary leadership in Southern Africa and beyond. Its curriculum is focused on applied business which will enable leaders to solve real life problems that contribute to socio-economic transformation. 

Applications for the School’s flagship programme, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) are now open and will close next month, on Friday, 30 April 2021.

DUT Communications team’s Waheeda Peters spoke to Professor Faizal Bux, the award-winning Director of the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology (IWWT) and SARChI chair, at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) who has won numerous awards over the years for his research work. DUT IS GEARING UP TO HOST THE NEXT SAUPEC/ROBMECH/PRASA CONFERENCE

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) has already started preparations to host the next SAUPEC/ROBMECH/PRASA Conference 2022 which will incorporate the 30th Southern African Universities Power Engineering Conference, the 14th Robotics and Mechatronics Conference of South Africa, and the 32nd Annual Symposium of the Pattern Recognition Association of South Africa.

IEP HOSTS ONE-DAY ONLINE WORKSHOP ON INTERNATIONAL JOINT DEGREE

The Durban University of Technology’s (DUT’s) International Education and Partnerships (IEP) Directorate hosted a one-day online workshop titled: International Joint Degrees, via Zoom on Tuesday, 9 March 2021. 

The workshop was facilitated by Dr Samia Chasi, Strategic Advisor to the International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA). She is a practitioner-scholar in higher education internationalisation, with more than 20 years of experience in this field.

PROTECTING THE LIVES OF THE DUT COMMUNITY IN THE TIMES OF A PANDEMIC

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) continues to commend all its essential services workers for their dedication and commitment in providing services to the DUT community during the COVID-19 pandemic. DUT Communications team’s Nikiwe Sukazi spoke to one of the frontline workers, Mr Malusi Mkhize who is a security officer at DUT’s Steve Biko Campus, gates 1 to 7. Mkhize has been at the forefront since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
