Songs of Praise Tea & Coffee 5.30pm Sunday 21 March

Following the SoP service on the GBC YouTube channel this coming Sunday there will be a tea and coffee time at 5.30pm on Zoom. Reply to this email if you would like to receive the login details. Please note that this chat time is in addition to the one following the morning service and the login details will not be the same.

Special Church Meeting | This Monday (22 March) | 7.30pm
Initial papers for this meeting were sent out to church members last week and further information and links have been sent this week.

Help Needed

Clearing the Worship Area

We need to clear the Worship Area in preparation for the building work due to start after Easter, Much has been done and this Saturday (20 March) at 10.00am we plan to dismantle and remove the stage. We would be grateful for a small number of volunteers to help with the lifting etc.

Setting up the marquee

On Friday 26 March at 9.00am we will be setting up a marquee in the church car park. Again, we would be grateful for a small number of volunteers to assist.
If you can help with either of these tasks, please contact Daniel. The usual Covid precautions will apply.,

The church Annual Review is now available on the website, click here.
Printed copies are available on the reception desk at the entrance to GBC.
Many thanks to all those who have contributed by sharing their experiences of God's blessing during a difficult year.

Diamond Wedding
God willing,on 25 March Shirley and Peter Harris will have been married 60 years. Peter writes:
"We give thanks for God's love and provision during this time and providing us with a wonderful family and lovely friends wherever we have been living. Through the rain and the sunshine we have been conscious of His Presence"

Are you feeling creative?

The Woodlands chemotherapy unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital would like to cheer it up a bit with Easter themed decorations. Drawings, paintings, collages of chicks, Easter eggs etc or any of your own wonderful ideas. If any of you (whatever age!) would like to provide something, contact Christine Heaton who will arrange to collect it: candi@heatonic.org.uk

Blessing our community in practical ways

Thanks to your kind donations over the last few weeks we have been able to bless people with hampers containg treats such as chocolates, snacks and handcream and many other things. Further donations are welcome - just drop them off at GBC.

Pregnancy Choices Helpers

Cornerstone are seeking to increase their team and are running a training course on some Saturday and Thursday mornings from April - June. They are looking for people who could offer a listening ear to someone facing a crisis or unplanned pregnancy, in a compassionate and non judgemental way. New Trustee

Cornerstone are also seeking a new Trustee - to take on the role of Secretary. More info from Helen.

Help needed with lifts and childcare

Three further weeks of study in Cambridge are required for completion of a really important English Course. Could you help by offering lifts to Cambridge or childcare for those 3 weeks (dates not yet confirmed). If you think you might be able to help in either of these ways, please contact Daniel. Thanks.

We are in touch with someone who is looking for a 3 bedroomed house to rent, ideally in Huntingdon. If anyone knows of anywhere, please contact us in the church office. Many thanks.
