Lent: The Power of the Gospel
Focus this Sunday:
This week we continue our journey toward Easter in our sermon series called
Lent: The Power of the Gospel. Each Sunday, we have been reflecting on and celebrating the different aspects of the power and authority that Jesus demonstrated while He was on the Earth in person.
This Sunday we will be looking at His power over life and death... His power to perform resurrections! So practically speaking, how God Jesus having this power affect our day to day lives? How do we witness to the fact that we believe in Jesus' power over life and death? What does God have to say to you in this?
This is also our
Local Care Offering Sunday. Usually on the first Sunday of every month, we take an offering to be used to help anyone within our church family that needs some help. Please mark your checks or online category appropriately if you would like to participate.
Join us Sunday at 10:30am either onsite or online! The link to the online service is on our website at (

Reflection Questions:
1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
2. Like the ruler who begged life for his daughter, it’s sometimes the faith of the people around us—rather than our own—that can transform a situation. How have the faith of family and friends strengthened you?
3. Which is better, to be resurrected physically or to be resurrected spiritually? Which requires more faith?
4. How does the hope of the resurrection to come change how you experience death?
5. One of the toughest questions we all face is the question of suffering. We are sometimes asked, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” How do you answer this question?
6. How can we encourage and pray for each other as we live into God's ways this week?
