Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

MHIA requests the community to please continue making payments towards your Sponsorship. We also request you all to donate towards Zakat and Sadaqah funds as we are short on those and harsh weather has further increased the burden on needy. Just a quick reminder to the community that Sponsorship is the new name for Membership. Please take a moment to either renew your sponsorship or become a new sponsor. The deadline to renew your Sponsorship is March 31st, 2021. I also have nominated Sr. Raana Arif as the Acting Social Secretary. May Allah (SWT) bless her as well as her contributions to MHIA.

Vaccine Opportunity

Pine Plains Pharmacy is volunteering to setup a vaccine clinic at Masjid al Noor in next few days, if we can get enough applicants. There are new eligibility requirements from the last email, At this time 60 years, teachers and daycare workers are now eligible. We must have people in multiples of 10 (10,20,30, etc.) in order to setup the vaccination at the Masjid. Otherwise, vaccinations will be done at the Pine Plains Firehouse.

You will receive an acknowledgement email which will have next steps. It will also allow you to get the registration with state completed and confirmation number issued which is mandatory. This will be the Moderna vaccine, and it will require 2 doses, 28 days apart.

Please note that without confirmation issued by the state, vaccine can not be administered.

Tax Receipts

MHIA Quran Classes

MHIA is very pleased to inform the community that our beloved Imam Badar Usmani has resumed Quran classes for the youth in our community. These Quran classes will help our youth become familiar with the Holy Quran that can help build our youth with an Islamic foundation. Classes are free and are held at Masjid al Noor on Monday thru Thursday from Asr to Maghrib. Classes are held in person and on Zoom.

UPDATE: Alhamdulillah more than 15 students have joined Imam Usmani's Quran classes. We would like to thank those parents for bringing their children to the Masjid. We also would like to encourage other parents to bring their children to the Masjid to learn the Holy Quran.
