Protest incessant oil price increases and obscene profit-taking by oil companies
The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) denounces the incessant increases in the prices of petroleum products since the start of the year to quickly make profits for oil companies and add to the hardships of the Filipino people amid the Covid-19 pandemic and severe economic crisis.

SC affirms ruling on constitutionality of Peco asset expropriation
The Supreme Court, voting 9-6, affirmed an earlier ruling upholding the constitutionality of the franchise of the Razon-owned More Power Electric Corp. (More Power) which allowed the takeover of distribution assets of rival Panay Electric Company (Peco).
