FUN RHYTHM

This year has such a different rhythm to many of the previous years. It’s a year where I feel God is enclosing us a little longer in the secret place, so that we can draw closer to His heart. A scripture that stays with me is: 1 John 4:16-17 (NIV) ^“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.”

This concept of love in Him, is contagious and we know that we need to live from His intimacy. Yet I wonder if we really seek Him and allow Him to touch those deep places that we hide away from the world. It’s because of love for my king that I’m so drawn to the broken and hopeless. We all need the fingerprint of Jesus upon our lives.

We felt that God is asking us as a Kingdom Culture family to draw close to Him, with a forty (40) day fast. We have started the fast on the 1^st of March and have a WhatsApp broadcast list, where we will be sending encouragements out for the 40 days. If you want to join, please let me know, with your WhatsApp number.

SILVERTON: FUN DAY (20 FEB 2021)

To describe the Silverton outreach, only one word is needed – FUN!

The team was ready to laugh and play with people. The children’s laughter could be heard from a distance because of the crazy games they were playing and of course, what is a fun day without a jumping castle and some water to awaken the joy!

Worship and ministry time were extremely powerful, yet tender. The presence of God was deep and we had many people being touched by the Holy Spirit. From deliverance happening, to asthma being healed, to people being filled with the Holy Spirit, with speaking in tongues as evidence.

We are intentionally building relationship with our friends at JJ Bosman House, as this is one of the areas we feel God highlighted during the lockdown relief projects. We believe that God is setting us up to transform a community with His love and presence.

Lastly, I want to thank each and every person who helped in making this day possible. Praying, packing of the parcels, helping on the day and contributing otherwise.

FEEDBACK FROM WEEKLY OUTREACHES

We have changed things around a little bit because lockdown regulations make it difficult to continue with our Worship Centre services as per normal. So, on Sundays we are using the time to do street outreaches. We are seeing a greater impact on the busy streets of Pretoria.

We are building relationships with street vendors and taxi drivers on a weekly basis. In the past few weeks, we’ve seen how two people threw away their crutches, because of the healing touch of God. We are seeing how people are confessing things that have been taunting them for years and being set free from years of torment. People are coming to Jesus and lives are being radically transformed.

As for the homeless people, we are continuing to disciple them on Tuesday nights, in the form of street church. The worship of our homeless friends is raw, but authentic and desperate for the finger of God to touch them.

We are seeing a steady growth in the cell groups and I’m excited to see how people are asking difficult questions and how God is continuing to answer and heal their lives.

PRAYER POINTS

Bonfire Worship Night: to ignite a deeper intimacy with God.
Grace for the forty days of fasting for all that participate and that we will see corporate breakthrough, protection and flourishment to all who are affiliated or part of the Kingdom Culture family, specifically with regard to their relationship with God and people, finances, mental and physical health.
Our city to see true transformation and the eradication of corruption.
Courage and faith, to pursue what God has been speaking and dreaming of, for us.
That we as leadership, will be finely tuned to God’s heart and be protected by His love.
A wave of God’s presence to be released, not just on our outreaches, but that it would truly be a lifestyle – normal Christian life!

Once again, thank you for praying, encouraging and loving us well! We can not do what we are doing if the body of Christ doesn’t come around us in our mission. We are ever grateful for your commitment and love for Jesus that pours out on us!
