Don’t let the beautiful weather distract you from excelling in your courses. Before we know it, the days will become longer and Morgantown will begin to warm up once again. 

With the second half of the semester ahead of us, plan out how you will be successful and stick to it! Take advantage of the opportunities around you to help you stay engaged through the end of the semester.

STEM Scholarship for Women 

March is Women’s History Month! 

If you’re a woman majoring in, or planning to study, fields related to oil and gas (engineering, geology, petroleum technology, business and related fields) then you are eligible to apply to the Mary Anne Ketelsen STEM Scholarship.

The deadline for the Mary Anne Ketelsen STEM Scholarship has been extended until midnight on March 19, 2021.

Neidermeyer Scholars 

Interested in working with students who may need some extra help? Become a Neidermeyer Scholar today! 

The Academic engagement Success Center (AeSC) is holding an information session on March 4 for students that are interested in becoming a tutor. 

Neidermeyer Scholars help students through classes they may be feeling overwhelmed with, or just to review what they have learned in class so far. Requirements to join the program are having an “A” in selected courses, a 3.0 overall GPA and good communication skills.

THE LATEST

Collegiate Business Plan Competition Finalists 

Six state colleges and universities will be represented in the 2020-2021 West Virginia Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition finals, making it the most diverse group of finalist teams in the competition’s 15-year history.

Colleges and universities that are moving into the finals include: Concord University, Marshall University, Shepherd University, University of Charleston, West Virginia State University and West Virginia University.

Finals will be held on Friday, April 16 via Zoom.

The future of technology is big data analytics. What does that mean for West Virginia?

On March 17, virtually join tech experts, cloud providers and thought leaders as we explore what’s beyond the cloud. The panel will also cover how the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Big Data Project offers promise and potential in West Virginia for decades to come.
