“Outside the Box”
This season of ministry, globally, is challenging everyone’s creativity ability! Quite possibly, you are unable to meet as “normally” as you would like with your class. This idea of “church in a box” is actually thinking outside of the box for how to continue to reach your students!

Church in a Box
Decide first what age(s) you would like to target in your “church in a box.” Then, provide a way for families to register (a Google form online is simple and easy to set up and distribute). Inside each box, include one activity to go with each lesson; we recommend one box per month, so about four activities per box. Be as creative as possible with the activities to avoid them appearing like more “school work.” Some fun suggestions include: blocks, science experiments, recipes with some dry ingredients, object lessons, modeling clay. Avoid, or limit, activities with lots of writing, reading, or coloring. Place each week’s activity into separate paper bags and attach labels to the outside with instructions for how to complete them. You may choose to have families text pictures of completed activities to you so you can reward them with small prizes in next month’s box (this also allows you to see who is participating). Coordinate the boxes to go with lessons they can find online (from you, or elsewhere), or lessons you have done in person and want reinforced during the week.
Boxes can be purchased in bulk from office supply stores (online) and items can be purchased (also in bulk) easily through Amazon or other online distributors.
