- Our Lenten Journey: Hopefully your Lent is going well so far! As a parish we'd like to invite everyone to pray a novena to St. Joseph, beginning on Wednesday, March 10th and ending on Thursday, March 18th, the day before the Solemnity of St. Joseph (March 19th). To assist you with this prayer initiative, we will release a video on our YouTube channel each day of the Novena, with one of the parish staff members leading the prayer for the day. So please check our YouTube channel and play the daily videos beginning March 10th and let's pray together! Then, we are invited to celebrate 9am Mass on the Solemnity of St. Joseph on Friday the 19th. If you haven't yet read the letter from Pope Francis declaring the year of St. Joseph, please check it out here. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops are launching a special website dedicated to St. Joseph on his Solemnity and have released a new prayer to St. Joseph.
- Lenten Video Series: Join our Faith Formation Coordinator, Alex Craven, for the next three Fridays of Lent on our video series " What is Meant by Lent?". In these short videos, we're invited to reconnect with the Good News, the Bad News, and the Best News at the heart of the Gospel. This week Alex looks at the Good News that God made us out of love and for relationship, and how we can respond to this message of love during this Lenten season. Watch the first video here and stay tuned for future videos in the series!
- Reconciliation Times for Lent: Fr. Bryan and Fr. Yves will hear confessions on Saturday, March 20th (9am-noon) and Thursday, March 25th (following 9am Mass until noon). COVID-19 safety measures will be in place but pre-registration is not required.
- Schedule for Holy Week: We have confirmed the schedule for Holy Week and the Easter Triduum. Archbishop Dunn is encouraging parishes to celebrate the Easter Triduum together (unlike last year where we celebrated as an entire Archdiocese, online). In anticipation of our numbers remaining at 100 per liturgy we are inviting people to attend only one of the three services for the Triduum: Holy Thursday Mass at 7pm, Good Friday service at 3pm, Easter Vigil Mass at 8pm. Pre-registration for the Triduum will go live in First 5 on March 19th and will be similar to how we currently handle things for weekend Masses. All hoping to attend in-person will be asked to rank their preferences (in this case, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil). Confirmation will then be sent for those who have been seated for each one. It is our hope that parishioners who are unable to attend in-person will join us online. Easter Sunday is separate from the Triduum, and we will have two Masses that morning, 9 and 11:15am. Preregistration for in-person attendance of those Masses will be handled in the usual way (please visit the website Monday-Wednesday before). The Easter Sunday 9am Mass will be live-streamed and will include some time in the digital foyer.
