This Week's Prayer Requests
 (and previous requests)

Dear intercessors in Christ,

The Catholic Church’s mission is to carry out and continue the work of Jesus Christ on Earth. Jesus sent his first disciples out to continue his work and share the Word of God with the whole of humanity by commanding,
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age"( Mathew 28:19-20).

This work and tradition should be continued today by every Christian, wherever they are. Could you please pray every day for a few minutes, that we would become an Evangelising Parish, going out to others and inviting them into a relationship with both ourselves and Jesus?

Please also pray for the following requests which we've received through the parish website over the past week by offering the sacrifice of your prayers from the comfort of your own home. Further, please feel free to submit your own prayer intentions through the prayer page on our parish website. You may also like to invite others to join this emerging and vital ministry.

1. Trish: I received a prayer request for Jason yesterday. His only friend sent out the request. He lives interstate, has had horrific injuries as well as several different medical issues as a result of abuse and neglect as a small child. I won't go into them in any depth, but he lost one eye many years ago and the other eye had 10% vision. It is now down to 2%. Of course, this has affected his mental health issues. The requests also asked for prayers that he might be given a Housing Commission home so he can have a seeing-eye or support dog. Wonderful Intercessors, please keep Jason in your prayers.

2. Clair: Please pray for my husband Kevin, who is recovering from heart surgery. and for my sister Joyce and my sister-in-law Loraine who are both in Palliative care.

From previous prayer requests

1. Please pray for all the sick and the suffering that they may be touched by the healing hands of Jesus.

2. Please pray for parents who are worried about their children and for those children that they may be guided by the Holy Spirit.

3. Please pray that in this season of Lent, we may receive the grace of true repentance from our forgiving God.

4. Please pray for the leaders of the church and the priests.

On behalf of these people, thank you for your generosity as you exercise your baptismal priesthood by offering up your sacrifices of prayer. Please do not hesitate to contact the parish if you have any questions regarding this ministry.
