A Message from Mike:

Spring is upon us here at Pyoca and staff are busier than ever. We are incredibly hopeful as vaccines rollout and COVID-19 cases continue to fall. We are coming into 2021 on strong footing, ready to get back to in-person programming, and it is all because of your faithful support.

2020 was an incredibly challenging year, but our alumni, donors, congregations, and presbyteries saw Pyoca through. We cannot thank you enough!

I invite you to continue reading to see and hear about all the great things we have in store at Pyoca in the coming months. With God’s help, 2021 is going to be a year to remember here at Pyoca!

Join Our Summer Staff:

We are already so excited about this summer's staff! We have welcomed a number of young adults onto our staff who can't wait to get out of the house, serve God, and mentor youth this summer.
We are looking to add on a few more counselors, kitchen assistants, lifeguards, and a Media & Craft Coordinator.

If you know of a young adult who would be a great mentor and leader to children and youth, encourage them to apply! Learn more about working on summer staff.

Mystery Quilt Retreat: April 27 - May 2

We are so excited to host the Mystery Quilt Retreat after an entire year without our quilters on-site. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this retreat will look a little different than in years past in order to ensure the health and safety of both our guests and staff. Learn more about this retreat and our COVID-19 protocols below.

Spring Work Day: Saturday, May 15th

We are working hard to get camp ready for returning staff and campers this summer and we need your help! We are inviting folks to join us for a socially distanced day of service on May 15th. Pack a boxed lunch and help us make camp beautiful just in time for summer. We are asking families to sign up in advance so that we can plan ahead for social distancing and project prep.

Family Retreats at Pyoca:

We are continuing to welcome pastors and families for respite stays throughout the spring. Weekends are booking up quickly, so be sure to book your stay soon! To book your stay give us a call or connect with Molly via email at molly@pyoca.org.

How You Can Support Camp:

Over the last 12 months we have seen the most incredible support from our camp community. We cannot thank you enough for your continuous thoughts, prayers, and generosity.

As we move into 2021, we are working toward long-term goals and sustainability at camp. We have a lot of exciting news to share, but we also want to hear from you! What can you do to support Pyoca this year?

Connect. We want to share all that is going on at camp with your congregation, as well as learn how we can best support your ministry.

Pass It On. Like the beloved campfire song, we know that in order to pass on the magic of camp to the next generation, we need the support of friends of camp and previous generations who have been transformed by this ministry.
