Become an art insider in under an hour as four outstanding London galleries discuss their upcoming shows.  A great way to get the scoop on the hot shows to see once the galleries re-open.  The artists are drawn from around the globe, and learning about them is a special way to celebrate Women's History Month.

Each gallery will give a short, image-filled presentation of its upcoming exhibition, aiming to answer: why this artist? What is she adding to the discourse on current concerns? We expect that the answers will be as diverse as the participating galleries: The Approach, Tristan Hoare, Taylor Grahne Projects and Lyndsey Ingram.  Our participating galleries have been chosen for a mix of artists, genres and geography.  From Mayfair to Bethnal Green, painters to textile artists, you will get a broad look at what is waiting for you when doors open. The ever-popular question period will complete your tour in under an hour.

The panel will be moderated by Joshua White, founder and director of The Art Channel.  A prolific writer, he has been published in The BBC, The FT,  and Flash Art.  Joshua may be familiar to you from his 2020 contributions to Channel 5's Great Paintings of the World and Radio 4's Behind the Scenes. Most recently, he was director at Hamilton's, specializing in 20th Century Photography.

Join us to hear curator and Instagram presence Mollie Barnes (@she_curates_) speak with artist Emma Prempeh about her work and about the group exhibition, Heart of the Matter, launched by Gillian Jason Gallery on International Women's Day in the gallery's 3D Virtual Viewing Room.

Says gallery owner Elli Jason Foster, "The last twelve months have been tough for many people in the arts. If we are able to take a step towards correcting some of the gender inequalities that have existed for so long in the art-world then we can sincerely see great change within our reach."

In addition, Heart of the Matter features new and recent works from Tracey Emin, Bridget Riley, Chantal Joffe, Jasmine Pradissitto, Sikelela Owen,  Layla Andrews, Eleanor Johnson, Sarah Jane Moon, Sahara Longe and Cecily Brown. Each artwork offers unique visions and explorations into the artist’s contemporary practice. With strongly figurative works, contrasted with expressionist and abstract pieces, Heart of the Matter presents a timeless look at contemporary female artists in and from Britain. After this tour, we will all be able to definitively answer the query, "Can you name #5womenartists"

In Memorarium: We join with the National Museum of Women in the Arts in marking the passing of founder Willehmina Cole Holladay. Against tremendous odds and with singular vision, dedication, and drive, Holladay created a museum to help alleviate the underrepresentation of women artists in museums and galleries worldwide.

From NMWA in Washington, D.C., Reclamation: Recipes, Remedies and Rituals, a new virtual exhibition is calling out for participation: join in by sending in your recipes and anecdotes! The online extravaganza features nine interdisciplinary artists sharing their work and stories centered on the kitchen table. The exhibition's focus on sustenance and healing nourishes the viewer, reminding us that food is a creative medium for visual art.  RECLAMATION will layer in submissions with the artists' work, giving space to international and intergenerational connections - a virtual contribution to the communal nature of the table.
