FOOTBALL REPORT

It’s great to have footy back. Our seniors have been hard at it since November with a solid pre-season and some strong recruiting. Some of our Under 18 players have been training with our senior players and have benefited greatly by joining in.
Our Under 18 & Under 15 teams have started pre-season with our Under 18’s have good numbers at training under the watchful eye of coach Kody Dern.
Our Under 15’s however are struggling with numbers so if you know of anyone who would be eligible to play Under 15’s contact coach Andy Stewart and have a chat to him about playing. Our 15’s & 18’s are currently training from 6.00pm Tuesday & Thursday nights.
Our Under 12’s start training on the 11th with the first training being a meeting at 5.00pm in the main complex with the new coaches - Cormac Mahony and Jack Peacock, Team Manager Carly McDonnell, our President - Geoff Carnes, our Director of Football - Col Gerrard and the parents and players to outline the upcoming season and when training will be as well as some information from the club. Everyone involved with Under 12’s are welcome to attend.
Our Senior Coaches Brendan Howard and Mitch Jenkins as well as our Reserves Coach Shannon Brown have done a tremendous amount of work recruiting and establishing our senior playing group. We are still recruiting for our seniors so please contact our coaches or Director of Football if you or someone you know may be interested in playing. Over the next few editions of The Crows Call we will introduce our new recruits to you as well as profiling some of our returning players.
We kicked off the season on Thursday night with a practice match against Learmonth at Learmonth. It was great just to see footy being played again and to see the Crows Jumpers back out on the park. There were some encouraging signs form the match, the most pleasing of which was the way Under 18 players who played, and our younger senior players played.
Our next practice match is against Stawell at North Park in Stawell on the 20^th with our Under 18’s playing a match followed by our senior squad. This should be a great hit out leading into the season with nearly all our senior players available.

At 3.00pm we will be holding our 2021 Season Launch
at the Bendigo bank Community Complex.
We look forward to seeing everyone again.
